Security systems in Educational services protect our country’s most important asset – our children. The education market is one segment in which there is a strong base of networks and wiring to support complex security systems. There is a growing tendency for colleges, high schools and middle/ elementary schools to invest in security systems because of increasing violence and vandalism. School boards are actively developing systems and in many cases centralizing the monitoring of a number of schools in a district. Budget is often available because parents put a priority on the safety of their children. The education market has two segments: K-12 and higher education (college/university). There is some commonality to these two segments, but there are also differences influenced by the sizes of the respective areas to secure. The following sections describe these in more detail. |
